Day 5 - Sick of Seafood

We pretty much spent the whole day in the car. We drove for 3 hours to deliver one wedding invitation and we're not even sure if they're gonna make it to the wedding.

There were pretty interesting things to see on the way there. Like, really skinny cows.

And people getting their earwax scraped out with long metal sticks all out in the open.
And corn drying on the front of someone's house.

We also saw rubber trees where they poke a hole in the trunk and the rubber slowly drips out. And Pepper trees. For those of you who have always wondered how/where peppers come from (*cough cough Julie*), here are pictures. Pepper Corns.

Our destination was Ong Ngoai's sister's house. She kinda looks like him, huh?
We had more seafood for lunch. I swear, if i even look at another sea dwelling creature, ima hurl. It wasn't nasty or anything, i'm just sick and tired of it.

Raw Oysters.

Crabs.

Lamb with mushrooms and onions.

The best part, Mantis Shrimp. It was huge and kinda intimidating-looking.

But not for me!

After, we drove along the beaches of Vũng Tàu, which is notable for the 32 meter statue of Jesus (Supposedly the largest in all of Asia). It's that little speckle on the mountain top.

Close-up of Chúa Jesus.
A ferry boat took our car across the river back to Saigon. Find Waldo (anh trieu).

Ngan & Jacinda: Forewarning, my room is messy. Sucks about the termite thing... at least you getta see your house dressed up as a circus tent!
Daniel: You're stupid. Haha, just kidding. I'm still in Vietnam, I left on Friday.

I'm tired. The end.
